Subscriptions/150 Club
Annual subscriptions are due by 31st October, 2009 at the latest
Insurance and affiliation fees now amount to over £2k per team. This equates to over £100 per player before any running costs are taken into account. This you will note is actually more than the full player subscription. This of course is not to mention costs associated with Youth Rugby development, coaching, rent, rates, maintenance, electric etc etc. It is imperative that all members –players and alikadoes promptly pay their subscriptions, which are now due and also participate in the 150 Club. Along with the members participation in the 150 Club it is very important that everyone encourages friends and family to enter to increase revenue from outside Club membership.
150 Club
Whilst most of you will already know all about the 150 club and its importance to Ophir, it is worth reiterating the key facts:-
The “150 Club” continues to be a vital source of funding for Ophir RFC and as such it is critical that each year, we strive to secure our full complement of 150 members.
Failure to do so reduces the overall profitability of the scheme so it is important that we attract new membership from outside the active club members. We would ask you therefore to make every effort to encourage family and friends to join.
To assist you in this effort the following details may be relevant :-
· Throughout the year there will be eight 150 Club draws
· Each draw includes prizes of £200, £100 and £50, concluding the season with a £1,000 Jackpot draw
· As an incentive for early returns, there will be a one-off £100 draw, only for members whose full remittance is received before October 31st 2009, or whose standing order is operational by this date ie: first payment received. Those members continuing with their standing order from last year will also qualify for this draw.
· Membership cost for the season will be £50 per person and new subscriptions maybe paid either in a lump sum or by standing order monthly payment.
As with previous seasons we are offering an easy payment scheme via standing order.
Please note, if you are a current member paying via bank direct debit you need take no action as we will renew your membership and, accordingly, your active subscription should continue.
Non-Ophir members may use a Standing Order Form (These can be picked up in the clubhouse, downloaded here or from any member of the Committee) specifically for their 150 Club membership, to allow the £50 subscription to be spread over monthly payments.
Additionally, Ophir RFC members may incorporate annual subs, as part of their monthly direct debit payment. Should you wish to do so, we will be happy to advise.
Many thanks in anticipation of your efforts, and for your support and contribution to the club. Hopefully this season we can surpass previous achievements
Please return all remittances to:- Paul Shields, Simon Hopper, Trevor Harris or indeed, any committee member.
- · Playing £80
· Non Playing £35 (minimum)
· Students/Unwaged £25.
