Saturday the 26th April saw Ophir Minis P7 group play their final match of the season. With a bus trip and an extremely early start of 7.45am planned, they made their way to City of Armagh Rugby grounds, for a 9.30 kick off.

The theme this year wasn’t to keep track of the score, it was how they played…..and this match was no different. With some excellent rugby on display by both sides, there was a lot to take way from this Ophir team, with some excellent tackles and attacking phases going down well with both sets of supporters.

With a post match feast of pizza being eaten, the P7 group made their way back to home turf to a presentation that was made by Ophir President, Colin McCann. Every player that made the journey to Armagh was then presented with a Club tie!

With a full year of rugby under their belts, SEAG exams taken and games of Fortnite and Minecraft being played, it’s certainly been a busy year for this group. Ophir RFC want to wish them well in all of their new schools that they will be going to, and look forward to welcoming them all back next year, ready to start afresh.
