Yesterday marked the final outing for 'The Slay Queens,' a combined U14 girls team made up of players from five clubs: Ophir, Malone, Instonians, Larne, and Cooke. In the Girls Shield Final, the squad put in an incredible effort, but were narrowly defeated by a highly skilled Enniskillen side.

Reaching a final is an achievement for any team — but doing so as a collaboration between five clubs is something truly special. The spirit and unity of the squad throughout the season have been nothing short of inspiring.

A huge thank you goes out to the players for their dedication and positivity, the coaches for their unwavering support, and the parents who kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What a journey it’s been, and a bright future lies ahead for these talented young athletes.
