Ophir 1st vs belfast high school former pupils 1st

Last Saturday both Ophir teams. supported among others by Biffa and Redhead, suffered a 40 point plus hammering from Belfast High School Former Pupils - the firsts at Upper Road, Greenisland and the Seconds at the Cottonmount, Mallusk.

In the away game, Ophir had matched their opponents in the first half, heading into the second 40 minutes at 13 all.  But those second 40 minutes proved pretty embarrassing for the Ophir pack as the home forwards gradually dominated play and possession to run in a further 42 points, unopposed.  the final score was Ophir 13, Belfast High School Former Pupils 55.
