Ophir hosted Dungannon at UUJ on a great day in Jordanstown. This was a big game with both sides looking to register their first win of the year.
The home side started typically, conceding an early try. This kicked the Ophs into gear, as they retained possession of the ball after this and proceeded to work their way up the pitch. Eventually leading to a well worked try.
Throughout the game the score remained tight, despite both teams scoring a handful of tries neither pulled away. Ophir throughout held posession well but couldn't capitalise efficiently on it. Attacking intent was clear to see but the young side lacked the sharpness to make it count.
Ophir in the game scored five tries but unfortunately lost the game by a point with most of the Dungannon points coming from quick counter attacks.
